You Can Swim In A Swimming Pool Filled Entirely With Red Wine
There’s nothing better than winding down with a glass of red wine after a hard week.
But what about submerging your whole body into a pool filled with the stuff? Come on, you deserve it. Well, at the Yunessun Spa Resort in Japan, you can do just that.
The ‘spa theme park’ offers holidaymakers the chance to get their swimwear on and wind down in giant hot tubs filled with Merlot or Bordeaux. Don’t believe us? Check out a clip here:
The water park is located around 100 km west from Tokyo and offers a unique wine-themed experience – which is said to have anti-ageing properties for the skin.
According to the spa’s creators, the resveratrol within the red wine can keep skin looking youthful, as well as help patrons to relax.
In fact, the ‘vinotherapy’ was also said to be adopted by Cleopatra, the Queen of Egypt as part of her beauty rituals.
Whilst you’re soaking up the red-wine goodness in the pool, servers can also pour you a fresh glass of wine from a 12-foot bottle – as you’re not allowed to drink the wine that you’re bathing in.
Inside the spa area, you can also find an array of other drink-themed spa pools, including hot tubs filled with coffee, sake and green tea.
The coffee hot spring bath, for example, is the first of its kind for Japan, the website explains. Coarse coffee is brewed at a low temperature from hot spring water, whilst the healing aromas can ‘reduce fatigue and beautify skin’.
Meanwhile, the green tea hot spring pool helps to improve circulation, as well as improve the appearance of the skin, according to the site.
The Japanese Sake pool feeds a steady drip of the liquor from a big barrel in order to fill the atmosphere with a ‘comforting aroma’ and warms patrons up from the inside.
Elsewhere at the venue, spa goers will be thrilled with the likes of areas like cave baths, hot springs with a scenic view of the Hakone mountains and Sagami Bay and the Dragon’s waterfall.
Meanwhile, thrillseekers will enjoy the Rodeo Mountain water slides, which will transport customers to a view of the top of the Hakone mountains, as well as the Aegean Sea of Gods pool, which showcases an illuminated fountain show alongside bubbles and music.
